Budget 2025 for Malaysia includes several key initiatives related to property and housing aimed at supporting homeownership.

1. MADANI Deposit for Youth Home Ownership: A subsidy of up to RM30,000 is available for those purchasing homes priced below RM500,000. This is aimed at helping young people, including gig workers and fresh graduates, secure bank loans more easily.

2. Step-Up Financing Scheme: This initiative, aimed at first-time homebuyers, offers lower initial loan repayments with a government guarantee of up to RM5 billion to make homeownership more affordable for young Malaysians.

3. Tax Relief for Homebuyers: First-time homebuyers purchasing properties below RM500,000 will benefit from tax relief of up to RM7,000. For properties priced between RM500,000 and RM750,000, a tax relief of up to RM5,000 is available.

These measures aim to boost homeownership, particularly among young people.
