Considering a car or a house? Get to know the latest base rate (BR) and base lending rate (BLR) of these 6 Malaysian banks after the announcement to raise overnight policy rate (OPR) by Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM).

The rise of OPR doesn’t mean everything goes south. It actually means that BNM is optimistic about the recovery in Malaysia based on indicators such as opening up of key sectors, employment and wages.

Looking at the bright side, the rise of BR and BLR acts as a stress test to us on whether we are ready to commit that monthly repayments to the banks (unless you are purchasing with cash 🤑).

We might come across the word “Lanai” especially when we’re scouting for a condo unit.

What exactly is a lanai? The word actually comes from Hawaii. The name lanai describes a more expansive space, more like an additional room outside a house.

Many condos nowadays do not come with a balcony, and we are often turned off by that.

Don’t worry! Condos without balcony is actually a trend now! The good thing is you don’t to clean it, during rainy season, balcony = no balcony, and to be honest, we will rarely step on the balcony after a couple of years 😬
