Kuala Lumpur, 24 FEBRUARY 2023 - In respond to the recent public posts which have been shared in social media platforms related to the project land of Scarletz Suites @ KL City Centre located at Jalan Yap Kwan Seng (“the said Land”) as reported by the online news portals regarding Mr. Omar Bin Mohamad Unni (“Omar”) and/or his representative or agent (“Public Post”), we, EXSIM and/or Suriamas Lumayan Sdn Bhd would like to make an official clarification again as follows:-

1. We have had official meeting with Omar and his representatives to explain our legal ownership of the said Land before the commencement of any legal proceedings.

2. Further thereto, Suriamas Lumayan Sdn Bhd (“Suriamas”), a subsidiary of EXSIM, had taken legal action and the High Court of Malaya in Kuala Lumpur had granted the orders in favour of Suriamas on 10.07.2019, that, amongst others, Suriamas is the registered proprietor and legal and beneficial owner of the said Land.

3. Having resolved the matter before the Courts of Malaysia, Suriamas and Omar are bound by the findings and decisions made by the Courts of Malaysia.

In addition, we reserve all our rights to take further legal action to protect the rights and interests in respect of the said Land, Suriamas and/or EXSIM.
