Just finish attended a workshop organised by INSTUN this morning on rental of land. Got a better understanding of TOL land now.

From my understanding, Federal Land Commissioner (Pesuruhjaya Tanah Persekutuan) is given power under the ACT 349 (Akta 349) on governing the land owned by Federal Government.

Any barren land is not being built such as (schools, police station, fire station) can be let out to the qualified party upon consideration by Federal Land Commissioner for a period of not more than 3 years (National Land Code Section 223).

Land search can be done to identify the lot owned by Federal Land Commissioner at Land Office.

Qualified person to apply for TOL land should be
1) Individual - Malaysian, stay in Malaysia, 18 years old and above, not a bankrupt

2) Company - Register under SSM

Application form required would be JKPTG/bphp1/04 (see the pic below)
