When it comes to Freehold vs Leasehold whether you are investing or getting a place for ownstay, it is undoubtedly an important factor which has an impact on whether our property will appreciate or have a decent rental opportunities.
However, there are many factors that we need to consider as well depending on our goals.
For example, would you be getting a Freehold with a less practical layout / building design or a Leasehold with a more practical layout / building design?
or a Freehold at an outskirt location or a Leasehold at a prime location?

What i personally think, people have different goals, which is why we need to go through the process of weighing the pros & cons, factors that could potentially impact future value rather than be blinded by Freehold vs Leasehold and being overly obsessed about it. It is also important to keep expectations realistic and not be greedy.
