It is clear that COVID-19 can hit everyone regardless of race, religion, or belief. While the extension of the Movement Control Order (MCO) is in force, all mass gatherings are not allowed. Malaysians who observe Qing Ming festival have to refrain themselves from tomb-sweeping activities. The traditional Ramadan food bazaars during the coming fasting month have also been cancelled.

With new confirmed cases each day, Aset Kayamas has speculated that the earlier effort might not be able to meet the demand. Hence, we have been preparing to donate another 6000 sets of medical protective suits to the hospitals that are in dire need of resources, including Hospital Tengku Ampuan Rahmah Kelang (Teh Kok Tiong 0172693331), Hospital Kajang, Hospital Banting (Ms Vishalini 0196894248), Hospital Ampang, Hospital Serdang (Puan Nurul Insyirah 0172408249), Hospital Selayang, Hospital Shah Alam (Puan Rasimah 0133915140), Hospital Sungai Buloh, Hospital Kuala Lumpur, Hospital Putrajaya and Hospital Jerantut.

Additionally, we have reached out to a number of hospitals in the 'red zone' areas, namely Hospital Tuanku Jaafar in Seremban, Hospital Sultanah Aminah in Johor Bahru, Hospital Enche' Besar Hjh Kalsom in Kluang, Hospital Tengku Ampuan Afzan in Kuantan, Hospital Sultan Hj Ahmad Shah in Temeloh, and Hospital Raja Perempuan Zainab II in Kota Bahru. So far, a total of 5700 sets of protective suits have been distributed to the aforementioned hospitals and the remaining 300 sets are expected to arrive sometime this week.

We truly appreciate the government’s effort in containing the deadly virus. Again, we hope all Malaysians cooperate with the government and strictly abide by the COVID-19 movement control. However threatening it is, we need to work together as a united Malaysian nation to combat this mutual enemy.

The Movement Control Order (MCO), which took effect on 18th March 2020, is part of our government's ongoing effort to flatten the coronavirus curve. As well as complying with the restriction, Aset Kayamas has also taken all the necessary steps ever since.

All the while, there has been a lot of public concern over the shortages of proper protective equipment as doctors and nurses are seen wearing makeshift protective suits when treating the COVID-19 patients.

With hospitals running out of medical protective clothing, Aset Kayamas has successfully sourced 6000 medical-grade protective suits, which will soon be distributed to the hospitals. These include Hospital Kuala Lumpur (Director: Dr Heric Corray 012-802 5500), Hospital Sg Buloh (PRO Pn Shahrina 019-465 8761), Hospital Serdang (PRO Pn Nurul Insyirah 017-240 8249), Hospital Tengku Ampuan Kelang (Teh Kok Tiong 017-269 3331), Hospital Kajang (Pn. Nor Marliza 019-699 3217), Hospital Banting (Ms. Vishalini 019-689 4248), Hospital Ampang (Dr Nur Farhana 012-554 6751), Hospital Selayang (Cik Iwani 017-437 4163), Hospital Shah Alam (Puan Rosimah 013-3915140), Hospital Putrajaya, and Hospital Jerantut.

If necessary, Aset Kayamas may consider coming up with another action plan in relation to the second phase of Movement Control Order (MCO). Aset Kayamas would also like to pay tribute to all front liners including medical staff, health officials, delivery riders, law enforcement officers, public transport personnel, etc. Last but not least, we hope that all Malaysians do their part and stay at home during this critical period.
