There is a hot topic discussion about agents/operators refused to return deposit to tenant. Is this a real concern or tenant are trying to put blames on the owner for their bad behavior/ care less attitude.
As a reputable agent for so many years , it is my duty and principal to return whatever belongs to the tenant and being fair to the property owner. It is not easy, but I'm glad , all my tenant are happy with their stay ..
My idea to solve most of the issues are
When you moved in, first thing is to take allot of photos and videos about the house, send it to owner or your agent when current condition of the house when you moved in. This way, you cut off 90% of the problem arise when landlord mistaken blame you for damaged done.
Secondly, with photos as proof, if this matter escalated to court , you have something to prove and show rather than the usual excuse you give " saya tak tau " .. tidakapa attitude..
