The construction in the south is booming, and the development in the north is not far behind. Last year, Malaysia received 329.5 billion ringgit in investment, 57.2% of which was foreign investment. Among them, Penang took the lead, receiving 61.7 billion foreign investment and 10.2 billion ringgit in local investment.
"The rising technological war between China and the United States has caused international companies to seek development outside of China, and Malaysian semiconductor assembly and testing is more attractive to these giants."
Analysts pointed out that major players such as Intel have also invested in new facilities in Penang, reflecting Malaysia's strength in the semiconductor industry.
"E&O (E&O, 3417, main board property stocks) has the largest land bank in Penang, followed by Mah Sing Group (MAHSING, 8583, main board property stocks), and IJM (IJM, 3336, main board construction stocks)."
