RE: Refuse Disposal Chute

Dear Residents,

Refuse Disposal Chute cylindrical wall is damaged and have gaping holes due to inconsiderate residents throwing items other than domestic waste and due to aging is another factor. Disposed waste often gets clogged in the chute as well as in the gaping holes. Eventually the stench at the hidden sections will be become unbearable resulting in maggots’ invasion.

The chute holding structure is very unstable due cracks at the securing section at every level. Most of the dispensing openings are damaged due to corrosion & have fallen off.

Cost to replace Rubbish Chute is estimated at RM 50,000.00. As there are other pressing needs such as Water Pipeline Replacement (RM 100,000.00), Rooftop Waterproofing (RM 50,000.00), Strata Title Application (RM 125.000.00). JMC has decided to shutdown the chute effective 09/05/2018 due to insufficient fund, unhygienic condition & unsafe structure.

We need your kind cooperation to double pack your domestic waste to avoid dripping & bring down to the common refuse collection area and place it in the garbage bin at the ground floor.
