We were honoured to have been invited to the Surveyors’ Congress 2026, hosted by the Royal Institution of Surveyors Malaysia (Sarawak Branch) happening on 7-8 May 2026 at Grand Riverine Ballroom, Kuching. Representing SHEDA, our advisor Cr. Dato Sim Kiang Chiok joined the prestigious lineup of speakers, sharing valuable industry insights on our collective role as stewards of a sustainable Sarawak. Now that the IBS Study Tour in KL (20-21 April 2026) has concluded, let's take a quick recap of the highlights from Day 1.

We kicked things off with a site walk at Skyria D’Island that showcased MGB SANY’s IBS components in a serviced apartment project, demonstrating how off-site manufacturing ensures superior on-site workmanship and build quality followed by a visit to the MGB SANY Plant to explore the production process. Seeing the journey from factory precision to on-site assembly was the perfect start to our trip.

We were honoured to have YB Datuk Michael Tiang Ming Tee, Deputy Minister for Public Health, Housing and Local Government II (Public Health & Housing), join us for the tour. Thank you for your time and support of this industry initiative. Stay tuned for Day 2 highlights!

On 27 February 2026, we had a double highlight - Council Meeting 01/2026 followed by the SHEDA CNY Open House 2026. Jointly organized with the SHEDA Kuching Branch, it was the perfect way to balance a productive afternoon with a chill evening of networking. A huge thanks to our Guest of Honour, Ms. Kho Teck Wan (representing YB Datuk Amar Prof. Dr. Sim Kui Hian), for joining the event and to Karuna as our event sponsor.
