Oil and Gas Safety Passport (OGSP)

Basic information about OGSP that you should know :
🛑The course duration take about 1 day in-house training within 8 hours.
🛑It is course induction category with the fee RM265.00 (inclusive of 6% SST) per head (current fee/it may change due to NIOSH policy).
🛑Validity : 3 years
🛑The target groups for the course is an employees and contractors' workers working at oil and gas plants and subsidiaries.
🛑No specific requirements needed but it is the advantages if the participant is able to understand Bahasa Melayu and English.

OGSP is one of the requirement to work in RAPID PENGERANG. The training course organized by NIOSH and usually it's oriented based on one day in-house training or in the open carnival.

WHAT IS NIOSH ❓❓
National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health
🛑Conducts research and makes recommendations for the prevention of work-related injury and illness.

WHAT IS THE ROLE OF NIOSH MALAYSIA ❓❓
🛑Entrusted to promote a safe and healthy workplace and workforce.
🛑Committed to assist employers and employees to manage Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) in their organization effectively.

It has a lot of course and training programs such as Competency Programs, Non-Competency Programs & Induction and Safety Passport Programs.

As for OGSP, it's a course programs under Induction and Safety Passport Programs (Oil & Gas Safety Passport).

Do u know that one of the requirement to work in the Rapid Pengerang is to have the Green Card from CIDB. So what is CIDB? What is Green Card?

CIDB : The Construction Industry Development Board Malaysia

known as abbreviating CIDB and equivalent Malaysia name Lembaga Pembangunan Industri Pembinaan Malaysia.
It’s one of the Government agencies in Malaysia, under the Ministry of Works was established under the Malaysian Act 520 1994.
A board stimulates development, improvement, undertakes research, and assists in the export service.
Regulating construction industry in conformance of standard in construction workmanship and materials, promote encourage quality assurance, toward achieving global competitiveness, facilitating professionalism function in delivering quality, productive and build sustainability of the environment.

CIDB Green Card?

CIDB function basically goes through the Malaysia Law Act 520 was passed on 1994 law as provisions, accredited to the registration of the construction company and personnel, aiming compliance, certification for the construction materials producing process of assessment ex*****on of the building, offering the course of pieces of training toward built of high construction project adopting new generation technologies and knowledge.
Managing all construction companies operating in Malaysia is compulsory in order to register, and also their personnel to take a course to certified with CIDB green card which primary requirement to allow work, to certify that the construction company & personnel are skilled, that can produce work of high quality & productive.
Applicants must be aged 18 years and older. Applicants must attend the Safety Induction Course for Construction Workers or its equivalent According to CIDB Amendment to Act 520- Section 32/33, contractor or personnel without valid CIDB green card may be fined up to RM5,000.
