The real property gains tax (RPGT) will not be applied for properties sold after the sixth year. The existing RPGT structure for properties sold before the sixth year stays.

• Housing for all
RM1.5 billion has been allocated for continuing low-cost housing projects.

• Housing credit guarantee scheme
Govt to allocate RM2 billion under housing credit guarantee scheme to assist those without steady income, such as gig economy workers, to purchase homes.

𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐏𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐲 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 - 5/5/20

At its meeting today, the Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) of Bank Negara Malaysia decided to reduce the Overnight Policy Rate (OPR) by 50 basis points to 2.00 percent. The ceiling and floor rates of the corridor of the OPR are correspondingly reduced to 2.25 percent and 1.75 percent, respectively.

It's gonna same scenario as after 2008 Financial Crisis, reducing OPR rate to 2.0%.
