You may have heard the terms DLP. It stands for Defects Liability Period, which owner have the right to highlights any defects to developer in a written notice.

Under HDA, DLP is 24 months from VP date. Any defects, the developer have to repair it within 30 days upon receiving written notice (defect reports) from purchasers. This period is important, to make sure the purchaser receive the property with minimum defects and in good condition.
