Warga *TEMPATAN* dinasihatkan agar tidak menyewakan *RUMAH atau PERMIS* kepada *PATI.* Sekiranya anda didapati memberi rumah kepada *PATI,* anda boleh disabitkan kesalahan di bawah *SEKSYEN 55(e) Akta Imigresen 1959/63.*

Jika didapati bersalah anda boleh didenda tidak kurang *RM5000*, tetapi tidak melebihi *RM30,000* atau *PENJARA* tidak lebih *12 bulan atau kedua-duanya bagi setiap PATI*

As fixed deposit (FD) interest rates fall, many (particularly retirees) are seeing income reductions too. Here are a few things to take note of before you move funds around:

Expenses: Before thinking about moving funds around, first, attempt to decrease expenses to match the fall in FD income.

Work: If cutting costs isn’t enough, you might want to look into other forms of income to supplement your FD returns. If possible, look at monetising your skills - whether it’s baking, e-hailing or advisory. While not the ideal situation for retirement, it can help buffer income gaps.

Capital: Alternatively, you might be able to start drawing down on your FD capital instead to overcome the shortfall in income. However keep in mind that this will result in further reduction in passive income as there’s less capital at work. This would depend on whether your inflation adjusted annual expenses can be reasonably sustained over your expected life span.

Risk: Before moving funds to other asset classes as you look for returns, keep in mind that other assets may not protect your capital and therefore you will face risk of losing that capital.
