n its RM10 billion petrochemical plant in Bintulu, Sarawak. The firm was first restructured in 1991 and was renamed Hasmi & Associates Sdn Bhd where they moved from Sarawak to Kuala Lumpur. The firm gained a unique position in the highly specialized field of telecommunication assets valuation where in 1991 and 1995, the company acted as the lead valuation consultant to Telekom Malaysia Berhad in its multi-purpose valuation exercise and ‘til today, this is still regarded as the largest private valuation assignment ever carried out. This made the firm having an unrivalled pool of knowledge and expertise in this highly specialized field. In 1995, the firm embarked on an expansion programme and Hasmi & Associates (Sarawak) Sdn Bhd was registered to recapitalise on the East Malaysian market. In 1999, a further restructuring took place resulting in a change of name to HASB Consultants Sdn Bhd and HASB Consultants (Sarawak) Sdn Bhd respectively. In 2013, HASB Consultants (Selangor) Sdn Bhd was set-up to cater for the expanding Klang Valley market with HASB Consultants (Sarawak) Sdn Bhd being made the main firm and headquarters for the group in 2015.
