Sometimes all that's needed is a very simple dish to make your meal. This was the case with the pork patty with salted fish at Loong Hwa Kopitiam in Bandar Puteri Puchong for me. Full of flavour and firm of bite and nicely priced at RM11.90 per plate.

On a day that Jen craved for Indian food, I made a delivery order from Asian Rice Pot. I ordered chicken 65, an egg kalakki, a side order of fish curry, a thosai set and 2 appam. The star turned out to be the thosai set. At RM3.50, it came with sides of curry which really complemented the dish extremely well. They are based in SS5A so either make your way there or make a delivery order from them - the thosai is worth it.

Tsuen Wan Sunway Geo is a place that seldom disappoints. In a recent visit, we ordered a stir fried hor fun with beef and what a gem it was. The dish was full of wok hei. The aroma hit me even before it arrived on the table. It’s definitely something I don’t mind ordering again. We had other dishes as well but this one blew the other noodle out of the water

White Curry Mee is the variant of curry mee that originated in Penang. Itfeatures a creamy, coconut milk-based broth that’s lighter in colour compared to the rich, red curry that we are used to in KL and PJ. If you do know of more places, please feel free to share it.

The last of the Bandar Puteri Puchong sections is IOI Rio Puchong. This area has added a new dimension to dining in Puchong. Being the newest area, it's added a glitz in the dining scene. They have some hits, chief among which is the only place I will go for pizzas in Puchong. Of course, the prices will be more upmarket here. I have included eateries in Puteri 7 into the list as well, as they are just a short distance away.

The next area in Bandar Puteri Puchong is the relatively small area of Puteri 4 which has just a 4 rows of shophouses. This list includes the adjacent area of Taman Perindustrian Pusat Bandar Puchong (which is not next to Pusat Bandar Puchong). Proof that confusing naming conventions are not limited to PJ only. The extra benefit of Puteri 4 is that it is right next to the Bandar Puteri Puchong LRT station

Puteri 5 is the next big area in Bandar Puteri Puchong. It is served by the Bandar Puteri Puchong LRT. The area starts off with Puteri Mart and then moves on to the many shophouses that dot this semi industrial area. Where it was once dominated by car workshops and offices, the landscape is changing to include more F&B outlets. Among which is my favourite place to have coffee in Puchong.

A few days earlier, I had begun with the list of eats in Puteri 1. We now move on to Puteri 2.

Puteri 2 is served by the Taman Perindustrian Puchong LRT. This is where Oriental Kopitiam established its Klang Valley base before conquering the market. It's home to Bumbu Bali and probably Puchong's most popular Japanese restaurant, Shin Zushi
