Jalan Putra Permai storm drain collapse.

30/05/2019

Every day now, the leaves are blown together with horribly loud blowers. The dust and dirt, the soundpolution, and for some, the disturbance of their sleep, is something that seems not as important compared to clearing the leaves for the holy cow (cars). Why does this have to happen in the early morning?

Irritating motherf**kers!

Resident complaints ignored.

This should certainly not come as a surprise. Residents complaints are willingly ignored by those hired to take care of it (AREM).

How familair is this... a stray cat wonders onto the premise, some kind hearted soul stars feeding them, the cats decise to stay, and not long after you will see it with a litter.

Once again, we stress not to feed these cats!

In addition, it seems to be a massive task to get a few broken lights repaired. It could be the start of a joke: How many AREM managers does it take to change a light bulb?

People, if you have a complaint, take a picture of it, send it to us [email protected], and we will highlight it here.

It is key to learn how (in)effective not only this, but any future management office is. Nobody knows how bad things are unless they are shared with the community.

Python removed from Putra Permai block C-18.

This afternoon a small python was removed from the drains behind block C18. It easily caught as it seems to have had a cat for lunch.

Sadly, leaving the python out here was no option, which is a bit of a shame because it seems to be a far more effective "cat remover" then the clueless AREM management snakes we have to rely on to care of these long outstanding cat matters.

If you need another reason to remove pests like rats and cats from the premisses, the fact that they might attrackt snakes certainly would be a good one.

If you own a cat, be so kind to keep it inside. If you see a cat wondering around, no matter how cute, please do not feed it, they will not leave once they know they can get a free meal.

The lovely smells of home.

With AREM being one of the most inept management companies ever brought in, is it any surprise that we suffer from problems that really should not be there?

The issue of cat faeces is one of the longest running problems we have. There are traps, but they are not used. Several litters have been spotted over the premises, and the problem seems to be getting worse. Furthermore, this problem is continuously agrevated by residents feeding them.

Sure you can have a pet cat, but please keep it indoors! And if you do want to let it wander arround, at least make sure it is sterilised so you do not end up with unwanted litters.

The net result of all of this is a battle against the smell of cat faeces and stench of urine, which also attrackts other pests such as roaches and mosquitoes.

No matter how cute, please be responsible and do not feed stray animals! Once they know they get food somewhere they will keep comming back for more. This is not your individual home, this is a community, think about your neighbours, do not assume they appreciate the stink. In fact, we know some residents are highly allergic to cats and suffer astma attacks. We know you mean well, but you're doing more harm than good!

It is not the first time we post about this issue here:

Leaf blowing = Terrorism!

Yes, time for another item on the use of leaf blowers.

It is safe to say that there is currently nothing that reduces quality of life more than the screech and stink of two-stroke, gas-powered leaf blowers. These weapons of mass distraction are a direct threat to domestic tranquility. That tranquility is shattered almost daily by the filthy, foul, obnoxious cacophony of leaf blowers... preferably in the morning. As****es!!!

We have listed the downsides before, and this time is no different, we add another researched chapter to the list of why it is a bad idea to use leaf blowers.

The amount of decibels ensure a deafening, aggravating noise, they’re extremely loud! The workers wear earplugs, we do not!

Research had actually found some pretty scary stuff like chromium, nickel, mercury and arsenic — to say nothing of carbon monoxide and other toxic fumes in the air. But the true “ick” factor is found in the organic bouillabaisse found at residential yards and common areas where blowers make noxious clouds of dried animal and bird f***s, human saliva, mold and fungal spores, insect eggs, w**d seeds and pollen.

It is beyond us, that management allows the use of these two-stroke, gas-powered monster, violating our domestic tranquility and wellness at all times of the day. What happened to the broom?

In addition, fellow residents, you too are to blame for allowing it and not speaking up! It does not have to be like this, but you allow it!

Everyone seems to be all too happy to trade his or her peace of mind and health for a "clean" parking lot. The effort to keep the parking lots clear of debris far outdoes the effort to keep our personal living spaces clean. Never mind that you cough and sneeze more often than you should, never mind you slowly grow your lung diseases and cancers, never mind you undermine the health of your children, as long as the parking is "clean" it is all worth it, right? Your car will surely appreciate the sacrifice!

The sad thing is that everyone is paying for this s**t. However, it seems to be what everyone wants, so enjoy!

Yet another management fail.

Does it really need to take two+ months to change a lightbulb?

Why are the people we pay to take care of management not able to take care of the smallest things? Why is it these people people always tend to do the opposite of needs to be done?

Do they ever leave their acronditioned office to take notes of the defects that plague our community or are they only interested in the financial benefits and not the work?

Time for change?
