𝗞𝗧𝗠 𝗘𝗧𝗦 𝗝𝗼𝗵𝗼𝗿 𝗕𝗮𝗵𝗿𝘂 𝘁𝗼 𝗞𝗟 starts 12 Dec 2025 with four trips a day. This new Electric Train Service (ETS) will get you from Johor Bahru to KL in 4.5 hours 🙌 opening a smooth new path for travelers heading north. The ride gives you plenty of freedom. Hop off, explore a town for a few hours or stay the night, then catch the next train further up the line. Three stops worth checking out between JB and KL are 𝗚𝗲𝗺𝗮𝘀, 𝗦𝗲𝗴𝗮𝗺𝗮𝘁 and 𝗞𝗹𝘂𝗮𝗻𝗴, each offering a different look at small-town Malaysia that’s easy to explore by rail.

Construction is underway for the elevated pedestrian walkway connecting RTS Link Bukit Chagar Station to JB Sentral in Johor Bahru🚶‍♀️🚆

Part of the highly anticipated RTS Link project, it will directly connect Bukit Chagar in Johor Bahru to Woodlands North in Singapore 🇸🇬 The project is expected to be completed by December 2026 and begin operations in 2027 ✨

ETS JB–KL service is finally launching this 12 December 🚄

KTMB’s newest ETS route will connect Johor Bahru ↔️ Kuala Lumpur, marking the first-ever commercial ETS service from JB.

The service will be officially launched on 11 December by His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, ahead of the line’s first day of operations. Longer-distance routes to Padang Besar and Butterworth will roll out in later phases. A major milestone in expanding ETS connectivity across Johor and beyond.
