📰 NRD: Using Family Members’ MyKad to Purchase Subsidised Fuel is Illegal

The National Registration Department (NRD) has stressed that the use of another person’s MyKad, including those belonging to spouses or children, is strictly prohibited for the purchase of subsidised fuel.

MyKad is an official identification document and must not be borrowed, held, or used by others. Such actions violate Regulation 25 of the National Registration Regulations 1990 and are subject to legal action.

The authorities also reminded that all counter transactions, including the purchase of subsidised fuel, must be carried out personally by the rightful MyKad holder, and urged the public not to misuse government subsidies.

In a recent case in Kelantan, a man was found to have used four different MyKads to purchase over 100 litres of subsidised petrol. The case is currently under investigation and has been classified as a serious offence.

Latest RTS Update - 2027 Launch Countdown Begins 🥳🥳

【 RTS Station to Be Completed in May; Supporting Facilities Upgraded for 2027 Launch, Fares to Be Announced in Q3 】

The Bukit Chagar station of the Johor–Singapore RTS Link is set to be completed in May. The station will include drop-off points and a pedestrian bridge connecting directly to for easy transfers.

A feeder bus hub and expanded short-distance bus services are also planned to improve traffic flow in the city. The project is now in its testing phase, with full readiness expected by September and operations scheduled to begin in January 2027. Fares will be announced in the .

The 4km rail link will connect Johor Bahru and Woodlands North in about five minutes, helping to ease congestion on the Causeway.

新山—新加坡跨境捷运系统 RTS Link 正加速整合本地交通网络，目标打造更顺畅的一体化通勤体验。根据规划，Autonomous Rail Transit（ ）将设站于 Bukit Chagar 并直连RTS Link，而新山市区预计在2027年前 #新增超过250辆巴士，加强接驳能力。

同时，行人天桥将连接RTS车站与 KTM Komuter 及 Electric Train Service，提升转乘效率。当地也将提供约 #2200 个Park-and-Ride停车位，并加强与 Johor Bahru Sentral 的步行连接。RTS Link预计今年底投入运作，尽管周边发展仍在进行，当局将确保通勤信息清晰，减少出行不便。
