What is Strata Title?
Strata title is a form of ownership devised for multi-level apartment blocks and horizontal subdivisions with shared areas. The 'strata' part of the term refers to apartments being on different levels, or "strata".

Strata title was first introduced in 1961 in the state of New South Wales, Australia, to better cope with the legal ownership of apartment blocks. Previously, the only adequate method of dividing ownership was company title, which had a number of defects, such as the difficulty of instituting mortgages. This term also applies to house-type strata title units in Australia.

It is important to know that "card-to-exit systems" cannot interfere with the occupants’ right to safely exit a "room" that has a door with an access control system. Current codes favor life safety requirements over security.
Hence, it is necessary to use push button for exit, instead of card access.
In addition, the break glass need to be installed at 1.4m (or lower, if necessary) height above floor level, and it should be clearly seen and identified by occupants during emergencies.

Security enhancement at Casa Tiara
- Grille doors c/w card reader access have been installed at lift lobby (May/ June 2015), for all the 4 blocks.
This helps to prevent any outsiders from "taking lifts" from tenants, to the apartment units.

The 6th AGM for Casa Tiara was held on 8 August, 2015. Eight committee members have been elected to serve in Joint Management Body (JMB), together with one representative from the developer.
