Latest timeline for e-Invoice implementation in Malaysia (updated on 5 June 2025) by LHDN Malaysia (Inland Revenue Board) under the MyInvois system.

📌 What it means:

All businesses in Malaysia will eventually need to issue electronic invoices (e-Invoice) according to their annual revenue (turnover). The rollout is done in phases:

🔹 Phases & Deadlines

Phase 1 – Large companies

Who: Businesses with annual turnover above RM100 million

Start: 1 August 2024

Phase 2 – Upper mid-sized companies

Who: Businesses with turnover above RM25 million up to RM100 million

Start: 1 January 2025

Phase 3 – Mid-sized companies

Who: Businesses with turnover above RM5 million up to RM25 million

Start: 1 July 2025

Phase 4 – Small companies

Who: Businesses with turnover above RM1 million up to RM5 million

Start: 1 January 2026

Phase 5 – Micro businesses

Who: Businesses with turnover up to RM1 million

Start: 1 July 2026

⚠️ Important Note:

Each group gets a 6-month interim relaxation period after their start date.
👉 This means you have 6 extra months to fully comply before it becomes mandatory.
