Came across this fascinating topic with my girlfriend about space planning today.
* PS, she's an interior designer.
Our conversation started off with people of all ages purchasing properties in KL, getting a property that's 600 square feet and under as properties in KL are so overpriced - that's the square footage that we could afford with our salary-ratio.

Don't we all want a spacious condo built in the heart of KL? YES! Do we have the financial capabilities to get it? NO! LOL!
So it drills down to ๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐, something that a lot of us neglect when it comes to furnishing our units once getting the keys. We are so darn excited getting the keys, sounds exciting picking out the furniture in Ikea, try making your apt look super aesthetic, fancy BUT don't you EVER forget you're living in a 600 sqft apartment, a sculpture that you think might look expensive in your house might just make your house look 100 sqft smaller.

It can have a very strong impact on the success of our home. Without proper planning, a room can end up looking awkward. Knowledge of furniture sizes and space allowances, some imagination and a sense of composition really help too.

The provision of natural light is must and having it fully utilized, even better! But at times that does not seem feasible or acts as a hindrance in planning. So, try to make the most of it or decide what type and kind of lighting you prefer.
