Top 5 basic AutoCAD tools how to use them.
1. LINE
The LINE command can be used by choosing the LINE tool from the Draw panel.
OR
You can also use it by entering LINE or L at the Command Prompt.
You will have to specify the starting point of the line by clicking the mouse of your computer then you will be prompted to specify the second point.

2. CIRCLE.
You draw a circle by using the CIRCLE command.
There are six different tools you can use to draw a circle.
a) By specifying center and radius
b) By specifying center and diameter
c) By specifying two diametrical ends
d) By specifying three points on a circle,
e) Tangent to two objects,
f) Tangents to three objects.
3. RECTANGLES
Rectangles can be drawn by specifying two opposite corners of the rectangle.
Also by specifying the area and the size of one of the sides
Or by specifying the rectangleโs dimensions.
4. POLYLINE
What are polylines?
It means many lines from the word POLY.
To draw a polyline you need to trigger the PLINE command. After the PLINE command is triggered and you specify the start point, the following prompt is displayed:
Specify start point: specify the starting point or enter its coordinates
Current line width is: nn.nnnn(00.0000)
Specify next point or [Arc/Halfwidth/Length/Undo/Width]: specify the endpoint of the first polyline segment.
Specify next point or [Arc/Close/Length/Undo/Width]: You layout the endpoint of the second Polyline segment or press ENTER to exit the command.
5. TRIM
You might need to remove the unwanted and extending edge when creating a design.
In that case, you use the Trim tool.
To use the Trim tool, you will be prompted to select the cutting edges.
These edges can be lines, polylines, circles, arcs, ellipses, rays, splines, text, blocks, xlines or even viewports.
After the cutting edge/edges are selected, you must select each object to be trimmed.
