OFFICIAL STATEMENT FROM OLAKUNLE AND PARTNERS LTD
Our attention has been drawn to a video currently circulating online regarding a property under our management. We would like to clarify the circumstances surrounding the matter and provide accurate information to the public.
Firstly, we wish to state that the property in question was a newly completed building still undergoing final-stage finishing and quality checks at the time the tenant made payment for the apartment. In line with this, the tenancy agreement clearly stated that the official move-in date was scheduled for 6th April 2026, to allow sufficient time for comprehensive inspection and testing of all facilities within the property.
However, prior to the agreed commencement date, the tenant arrived at the estate with her furniture and requested access into the premises. Initially, access was declined because the tenancy period had not officially commenced. Subsequently, the tenant contacted our office, explaining that she was stranded and urgently needed access. Considering the security implications and the safety of her belongings, Olakunle & Partners Ltd made the compassionate decision to grant her access and hand over the keys before the agreed tenancy date.
It was during this early access period that issues relating to leakages and an uncovered manhole were discovered. Upon receiving the complaint, artisans were immediately deployed to assess the situation and recommend appropriate solutions. Subsequently,we received communication from the tenant’s mother instructing us not to proceed further, stating that her daughter had already engaged a separate artisan to handle the repairs.
Several weeks later, following reports from neighboring residents that the issue persisted, our team redeployed artisans to reassess the property. Unfortunately, access to the premises was denied to both our artisans and the Principal Partner of Olakunle & Partners Ltd.
In an effort to resolve the matter amicably and professionally
