This is simply not true. Off-plan projects were designed to make property ownership more accessible.

In March of 2024, our company commissioned an off-plan project in Kurudu, starting price was as low as 1Million Naira, and you need to see the influx of persons who took a leap at the offer.

In less than than 40 days, over 70 units had been sold!

Think about it: instead of paying ₦80M upfront, you can secure the property with a smaller initial deposit, sometimes as low as 10–20% , and then spread the balance across months or even years[depending on the agreement between you and the Realty firm].

That flexibility is what allows young professionals, business owners, and diaspora Nigerians to step into prime Abuja neighborhoods without being billionaires.

Wealth in real estate doesn’t begin with how much you have. It begins with how early you start. And off-plan gives you that head start.

"Off-Plan is Too Risky"

This is the biggest fear people have. “What if the developer doesn’t finish? What if my money is lost?”

Yes, risk exists in every investment, but not all risks are equal. The truth is: not all developers are the same.

We had a client over the other day, and she requested to get 3 units of our 4 Bedroom Terrace Duplex in Pyakasa.

It was on pre-sale at the time, but, she raised concerns about the safety of her money due to valid concerns she's gotten with a developer.

Reputable developers with a track record rarely fail to deliver. They build their reputation on trust, and they understand that one failed project can damage their brand forever.

The key is due diligence.
✔ Research the developer.
✔ Ask about their completed projects.
✔ Confirm government approvals.
✔ Review the contract terms.

Buying from the right developer makes off-plan just as safe, if not safer — than many other forms of investment.

Remember, the riskiest thing isn’t investing in off-plan. The riskiest thing is waiting until it’s too late.
