Chef Dammy has reportedly now made an application to the Guinness World Records after completing her 120-hour cookathon!

earlier confirmed by Checkmate Trends the fact that the Ekiti chef did not apply to the world record body before starting to cook.

In an information sent to on Friday, June 16, the GWR said the body is now in possession of Chef Dammy's application and would review her evidence.

Guinness World Records: Chef Dammy Set To Embark On 150 Hours Cook-a-thon
Nigerian chef, Damilola Adeparusi, popularly known as Chef Dammy, has disclosed plans to go on another 150-hour marathon cooking marathon to replace Hilda Baci as the world record holder for the longest cooking marathon by an individual.

Chef Dammy, who recently concluded a 120-hour marathon cooking on Wednesday morning, made this known in a statement shared on her Twitter handle on Saturday.

She stated that the completed 120-hour marathon cook was not registered with Guinness World Records and that she intends to embark on another 150-hour cook-a-thon that will be registered with Guinness World Records.

The statement partly read, "know there have been many speculations about me not registering this just-concluded cooking, but my team and I have decided to embark on this new challenge next month.

"After the support that I have received from fans, well-wishers, and many highly notable individuals in society. I, Adeparusi Damilola popularly known as Chef Dammy and my team has decided to hold another cook-a-thon programme next month.

"This time, it will be held for a 150-hour, and it will be duly registered with Guinness World Records. Chef Dammy is coming back!"
GWR on Tuesday confirmed Hilda Baci as the new record holder for the longest cooking marathon by an individual at 93 hours and 11 minutes, surpassing the previous record holder, Lata Tandon's 87 hours and 45 minutes.

Nigerian chef, Damilola Adeparusi, popularly known as Chef Dammy, has revealed plans to displace Hilda Baci as the world record holder for the longest cooking marathon by an individual.

Chef Dammy, who spoke to newsmen in Ado-Ekiti on Friday, said the concluded 120-hour cook was not registered with the Guinness World Record (GWR).
She, however, said after completing the 120-hour cook-a-thon, she is ready to apply for the Guinness World Records.

Vanguard correspondent confirmed that she plans to cook for 150 hours in the new challenge set to take place next month.

“I know the question that has been surrounding the minds of many people online and offline is what is next for Chef Dammy after the 120-hour cook-a-thon? What will become of Chef Dammy after the world has known her and she has been put in the spotlight? Well, Chef Dammy is open to exploration! I am open to new opportunities and new experiences in life. Now that the world knows what I am capable of doing. I think it’s high time everyone started giving me a chance to explore in diverse ways and capabilities.

Just In: Chef Dammy’s 120hours cooking unrecognized by Guinness World Records

…Says she did not apply with them before embarked in her cook-a-thon

Guinness World Records said to have denied the 300level student of Federal University, Oye-Ekiti, Chef Dammy who used 120hrs for a cookathon. It was confirmed that no application was received from her as required by GWR before she started her cooking.
Meanwhile, GWR has certified a Nigerian born Hilda Baci as the GWR holder for longest hours of cooking .

20 things to know about Hilda Baci and her Guinness World Record Marathon Cooking

1. Her real name is Hilda Bassey Effiong. She is a young Nigerian chef from Akwa Ibom State. She owes a food brand in Lagos called "My Food by Hilda"

2. She will be cooking for 4 days non-stop.

3. She must stand to cook, she is not permitted to sit while cooking.

4. She’s not allowed to take coffee, stimulants, or any energy drink to artificially boost her energy and bodily strength while cooking

5. She's allowed to eat food, drink water or fruit juice, & take glucose

6. The cooking is taking place at Amore Gardens, Lekki, Lagos State, Nigeria.

7. She cooks round the clock, no sleep (Morning, afternoon, evening, and night. So, for 4 nights, she won't sleep)

8. She has just 5 minutes rest per hour [meaning for every 1 hour, she is entitled to just 5 minutes rest or break, that's an hour break in every 12 hours].

She gets a 30-minute break every 6 hours, she spends the 30mins in a medical van which is just close by, within which she can nap, use the restroom, and also get a medical assessment or checkup by the medical team available on the spot.

9. Whatever she cooks is shared to the people at the venue for FREE. She is not selling the food.

10. She cooks different meals simultaneously. She is at liberty to cook any meal she likes. There are no restrictions as to what she can cook or not cook.

The World Record title is about cooking within a time frame, not about what is cooked. As long as she is cooking, she is on track.

11. Every meal cooked and every plate served is recorded.

She has cooked over 115 meals so far with almost 3,000 portions if not more by the time you are reading this.
