There was a time when you saw something you wanted and immediately you told yourself, "I can't afford this."
you didn’t even try to figure out how to make it possible. you just accepted that your finances was the problem.
A negative mind will say ‘I can’t afford it.’ But a positive mind will ask ‘How can I afford it?’”
The truth is, the problem isn’t always money. The problem is your mindset.
The Difference Between Struggle and Wealth in Nigeria
Let me give you two real-life examples:
❌ Meet Hillary: He sees a house in Katampe going for ₦170 million and says, "That’s for rich people. Let me not dream too much.” He keeps working his 9-5, saving little by little, hoping things will change someday.
✅ Meet Sam: He sees the same house and thinks, "What skills can I learn to increase my income? What business can I start? Who can I network with?" He starts a side hustle, upskills, and within a few years, he’s making 10x his old salary.
Both men started in the same place. But one asked the right question, the other didn’t.
What’s Your Excuse?
You say: "There’s no money in Nigeria."
I say: "So how are people still buying Rolls Royce, building luxury estates, and sending their kids abroad?"
You say: "It’s too hard to make it here."
I say: "Then how did self-made millionaires rise from the ghetto's of Ajegunle, Agege, or Onitsha?"
It’s not about your background. It’s about how you think.
Your Challenge: Start Asking The Right Questions
Next time you see something expensive, don’t say "I can't afford it."
Ask:
✅ How can I increase my income this year?
✅ What skills can I learn to multiply my money?
✅ Who do I need to connect with to level up?
Because the truth is—your mindset is either keeping you broke or making you rich.
