AN OPEN LETTER TO THE GOOD PEOPLE OF KWARA STATE
From the Kamaldeen Abilemi Adefila Campaign Council
Fellow Kwarans,
We greet you with warmth and solidarity in this challenging time for our beloved state. Kwara, proudly known as the State of Harmony, has always been a beacon of peace, tolerance, and unity. Today, however, we are confronted with a wave of insecurity that threatens not only our lives and livelihoods but also the very values that have defined us for generations.
We are deeply pained by the recent incidents of violence, banditry, kidnappings, and other criminal activities across various parts of our state. Our hearts and prayers go to all victims, their families, and communities affected by these senseless acts.
This is not the time for fear or division. It is the time for calm, vigilance, collective action, and prayer. We must rise as one people, transcending political, religious, or ethnic divides, to defend our state from the forces of darkness seeking to destroy the peace we hold dear.
We therefore call on:
Every Kwaran to be alert and promptly report suspicious activities to security agencies.
Community leaders and traditional rulers to intensify their grassroots surveillance efforts, working hand in hand with security operatives.
Religious institutions to continue to lift up Kwara State in fervent prayers for peace and divine intervention.
Government and security agencies to double their efforts in intelligence gathering and rapid response to emerging threats.
Security is a collective responsibility. No single individual or institution can tackle this menace alone. With unity of purpose, proactive vigilance, and God’s protection, we will surely overcome.
Let us stand together as custodians of our shared heritage and ensure that the State of Harmony remains a true sanctuary of peace, progress, and mutual respect.
May God bless Kwara State and her people.
With unwavering commitment to the peace and progress of our state,
Signed:
Kamaldeen Abilemi Adefila Campaign Council
