Brekete Family Smart City FOUNDATION-LAYING CEREMONY for the Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria (FMBN) Financed Cooperative Housing Scheme:

The Foundation-Laying Ceremony for FMBN financed cooperative housing scheme in our housing estate held on 25th November 2020 was a huge success.

To all Brekete Family members, supporters, followers, estate subscribers, and partners, we say a very big thank you. We appreciate your participation, contributions, support, and prayers for the success of the event and that of the project ultimately. We deeply appreciate the God-sent roles everyone played, and will continue to play in ensuring the fulfilment of the Brekete Family dream of positively impacting humanity using people-oriented projects like housing development as a potent tools.

The next phase and success story is the celebration of the conclusion of our infrastructure financing which will take full care of the estate infrastructure development to deliver those exceptional values that we have conceptualized to make the positive difference in the housing sector.

This is just the beginning, and as we continue to make progress, we will continue to celebrate and appreciate everyone that have followed us patiently and tenaciously even in these early steps. It might interest you to know that God is with us and He is doing wonders with us! We are moving to the next phase.

This is also an indication of what we have so far done with respect to earthwork on the roads. We are making measurable progress! Brekete Family Smart City is currently the largest singe estate in the country. Instead of being overwhelmed by the size, we are taking good advantage of this strength to achieve the very best in environment planning, in engineering designs, and implementation and civil works. Apart from the pictures we have consistently shared with subscribers, the above drone video clip clearly shows this. We are doing something that will make you and the entire world justifiably proud. It may not come without challenges, but we are equal to the task with your support.

SOME QUALITY CHECKS AT THIS LEVEL

cracks appearing as shown in the pictured clouded road section after formation levels was taken and compaction done on the 14th of August 2019.

The affected area measures about 50cm. investigations indicated that the imported materials from a part of the borrow pit did not bond properly with the receptor soil. primary causes was attributed to elevated moisture content in the receptor soil that created a huge difference between the structures of the bonding soils. to correct the issue, with an excavator,we are cutting that section again to remove the materials and reinforce to achieve more stable and bindable surface so as to fill again with suitable material. this is only an indication of some of the processes we are undertaking to achieve our goals of delivering quality infrastructures. we are making progress....it may not be very easy, so straight and speedy, but it will surely be done steadily and more importantly, done well.

SITE WORK UPDATE

We have continued operations in the days we have good weather. though to minimize wastage and loss of machine and man hours, we scaled down the earthworks to minimize operations. however,we are going to try as much as possible to take advantage of the expected august rain break.

Part of the activities currently ongoing include scarifying, laterite filling, temporary drainage to prevent destruction of our obtained road formation levels when it rains, cutting of obstructing rocks at road 1& 2, compaction and testing of bonding effectiveness in the fill and compacted areas. These basically involve a few tippers,excavators,graders and rollers taking advantage of the few dry days as the rain persists.
