The Republic of Korea taught me something about life that I didn’t expect to learn from a building.

While in Korea, I learnt from its architectural design how a strong central core can carry much of a sky rise building’s weight, rather than relying on countless visible beams and columns.

And it stayed with me.

The higher God wants to take you, the stronger your core must become.

Because public success without hidden strength eventually collapses.

So, what makes up your core?

Build what nobody sees.
It will carry what everybody sees.

Abuja should not become a city where living within the city centre is only possible for the wealthy!

Our leaders, policymakers and industry stakeholders have a role to play in creating better housing policies, practices and regulations that make decent housing more attainable—not something reserved for those who can afford Abuja’s highest rents or property prices.

We need to build a city people can afford to live in, not just a city people can afford to invest in.

Dear Developer, keep proper records.

Not every double sale is deliberate. Sometimes, it’s simply poor record-keeping.

Know what you’ve sold, what you’ve spent, and whether you’re actually making a profit.

Good records keep your business in check.

Today was such a beautiful time on the AfriOne Show.
We had such an insightful conversation around law, real estate, Nigeria, leadership, marriage… honestly, so many things!
I’m really proud of what Mr. Darlington is doing with the AfriOne Show; creating room for those tough conversations that make us think, learn and hopefully become better as a nation.
Really happy I got to be part of this.

Proverbs 27:21

“The crucible is for silver and the furnace for gold, but a person is tested by the praise he receives.”

We often think criticism reveals character.
But Scripture gives us another kind of test, which is praise.

Silver and gold are put through fire to reveal what they are made of. Perhaps praise is a similar fire for the human heart.

It is easy to appear humble when nobody is applauding you.
But what happens when the room begins to say your name?

And then there is the other side of the coin…
What makes you applaud? Because the things we consistently praise can expose the values we have quietly adopted.
What we celebrate reveals what we have made worthy of celebration.

And today, I get to celebrate my brother.

Beyond the PhD, I celebrate the man, the journey, the discipline, and everything it took to get here.
I am so, so proud of you!

Congratulations, Dr. David Panya.
I love you deeply, and I hope you always know just how proud your little sis is of you.

SAYINGS OF THE WISE

Proverbs 27:7

“One who is full loathes honey, but to the hungry even what is bitter tastes sweet.”

When you are too full, even honey can lose its sweetness.
When you are too hungry, even bitterness can taste sweet.
Both abundance and desperation can distort your judgment.

Sometimes, having too much makes us careless with what is valuable. We become so familiar with the good things in our lives that we stop appreciating them.

But sometimes, being in need can be just as dangerous. When you desperately want something, you can begin to call bitter things sweet simply because you want them badly enough.

Don’t let abundance make you despise what is good, and don’t let desperation convince you that what is harmful is good.

Learn to recognise sweetness for what it is and bitterness for what it is; whether you have plenty or you are in need.
