AKOKO YOUTH FORUM (AYF)

THE RECENT ILLEGAL GATHERING OF SOME YOUTHS CONVENED BY Mr. Ife AJIBUWA (Alias Baale) IN THE NAME OF AKOKO YOUTH FORUM (AYF)
This is to inform the general public that our noble organization, the Akoko Youth Forum(AYF) has nothing to do with the recent illegal gathering held at Victory College Ikare Àkókó on the Sunday 24th of July 2022, by a couple of renegades purportedly led by the erstwhile Acting President of AYF, Mr. Ife Ajibuwa, A.K.A. 'Baale'.
The public is further put on notice that the convener has NO authority to conduct any meeting or issue public statement on behalf of the AYF. The convener was merely an Acting President whose tenure had expired and the executive dissolved.
It is, however, disheartening to observe that Mr. Ife Ajibuwa is bent on causing dissent and disharmony within the organization long after the expiration of his tenure.
In light of the above, we enjoin the general public to disregard any information emanating the renegade out-gone Acting President, who had used the name of AYF to deceive some law-abiding youths of Akokoland to attend the illegal gathering, which is only aimed at serving his self-interest
It should be noted that after the expiration of the tenure of the out-gone executive expired, the Board of Trustees had met with the executive and extended their tenure for a period of 3 months
Subsequently, at duly constituted congresses, the out-gone executive was dissolved and a Caretaker Committee was set up to run the affairs of the organization with specific mandate to conduct election within a stipulated period and to usher in a new executive
Following the above, a duly constituted Electoral body was set up and activated: No doubt the processes of election are on course.
Having noted the gross ineptitude and manipulative tendencies of the out-gone Acting President, whose conduct tended to diminish the status of the organisation, the Board of Trustees and other stakeholders
