As a Gemini, I don’t joke with communication. Maybe that’s why Geminis are often called the Kings and Queens of Communication. 😊
When it comes to communicating, I am very flexible. I give people the freedom and confidence to express themselves in whatever way they are most comfortable with.
Whether it’s phone calls, text messages, voice notes, emails, or any other means of communication, I honestly don’t mind. As long as you’re communicating with me, we’re good.
However, I have come to realize that about 90% of the people I have encountered in business, friendships, and relationships have very poor communication skills.
And for someone who works in the service industry, this has become one of my biggest challenges.
Teaching an adult how to communicate effectively is one of the most difficult things to do. It can be more frustrating than trying to pass a camel through the eye of a needle.
You end up drained, misunderstood, stressed, and exhausted. The worst part is that, in many cases, nothing changes because many people allow ego and pride to lead them instead of simply communicating clearly and honestly.
I know this may be controversial, but from my personal experience, a lot of men struggle with communication. Surprisingly, I have found that some educated people communicate even worse than those with little or no formal education.
Sometimes, it feels easier to communicate with a child than with an adult.
No wonder the Bible says that unless we humble ourselves and become like little children, we cannot inherit the Kingdom of Heaven.
Children communicate with honesty. They tell you exactly how they feel without overthinking it. They are straightforward, genuine, and transparent.
If a child likes you, they will tell you.
If a child is upset, they will tell you.
If something bothers them, they will tell you.
But adults? 🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️
Many adults would rather assume, avoid difficult conversations, keep silent, hold grudges, or let pride get in the way than simply communicate what is on their mind.
And I have come to realize that this is one of the major reasons why many friendships, relationships, and even marriages fall apart.
The problem is not always a lack of love.
Sometimes, it’s simply a lack of communication.
