AFRDC 2022 - MINISTER OF DEFENCE SETS UP COMMITTEE TO WORK OUT MODERLITIES FOR VETARANS FOUNDATION.
........URGES NASS TO SPEED UP PASSAGE ON NIGERIAN LEGION ACT.

The Minister of Defence Maj Gen Bashir Salihi Magashi (rtd) says the pending Debarment Allowance and other related welfare benefits for the serving and retired members of the Nigerian Armed Forces are receiving actionable attentions at the appropriate quarters.

General Magashi made this known at a Media briefing for the 2022 Armed Forces Remembrance Day Celebration held at the Army War College, Abuja.

He said all hands must be on deck to ensure that the series of activities lined up for the ceremony are hitch free.

The Defence Minister outlined the activities for the 2022 AFRD to include Emblem Launch and Appeal Fund by President Muhammadu Buhari on 20th, October next week at the State House.

Others include Nigerian Legion Humanitarian Day, Religeous Services and Wreath - Laying Ceremony by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Nigeria at the Cenotaph to climax the ceremony on 15th January, 2022.

General Magashi also highlighted some achievements of the Ministry of Defence under his watch to include prompt payment of Pension and Gratuities, the establishments of the Nigerian Veterans Foundation, Skills Acquisition Centre and Agro -development Support Programmes.

Others include empowerment of the Defence Health Maintenance Limited, DHML to provide quality health Insurance Service for Vetarans, Widows and dependants of the fallen heroes.

While assuring the Veterans of government's genuine packages for their well-being, he appealed to all Nigerians to support the Armed Forces of Nigeria in their various campaigns to defend the nation's territorial integrity and sovereignty.

Many marriages are just for sleeping and waking up, raising kids and ageing together till death comes. This is not right. Marriage must be enjoyable and romantic.
1.Many couples hardly kiss and they only hug each other when they receive good news.
2. The husband only puts food in his wife's mouth only when she is terminally ill and cant feed herself.
3. If you see a man opening car door for his wife means the door is faulty.
4. The only thing that makes an african man touch his wife's neck is when she complains of fever. He wont touch it again till the next fever.
5.The only time he can carry his wife on his arms is when she is in labour.
6. If you see them seated outside at night, dont think they are romantic. They are only waiting for the smell of insecticide to vanish.
7.Many wives buy gifts for their husbands only when they are hospitalized.
8.The only time they race together is when there is danger and everyone is running.
9.The only time they go for evening stroll is when they want to go and lay a complain to the parents of the person that beat their child or got their daughter pregnant.
10. The only time they bath together is when both are late for work.
11. The only time a wife looks closely to her husband's eyes is when he complains of dirt in his eyes.
Unfortunately, Africans feel that any romantic man is being controlled by his wife. They will begin to spread bad rumours. Let us just change today for the better. Let us learn to love one another and enjoy the few days we have on earth together! THIS GOES TO ALL MARRIED COUPLES AND THOSE PREPARING TO GET MARRIED SOON.

People who never witnessed war Will think war is just shooting guns and killing people.They forget that
*War is starvation,
*War is r**e,
*war is deprivation of movement ,
*war is fear ,
*war is lack of access to health care ,
*war is lack of access to your wealth ,
*war is Diseases ,
*war is hopelessness , *war is losing children ,
*war is losing parents , *war is losing spouse , *war is losing loved ones ,
*War is not going to school *War is not going to work,
*War is excreting right in your hiding spot,
*War is drinking your own wee
*War is creating an entire generation who will be illiterates ,
*War is so much more than just shooting guns and ending lives.

Even after war it will take decades for a nation to heal to reconcile and to rebuild etc, Ask Rwanda , Congo , Liberia , South Sudan and Libya , War in reality is different from war in the movies. When next you wish for war ask those who have actually witnessed 1966 Nigerian Civil War , Everybody became casualties of war both dead and the living. "United we stand, divided we fall".

Stop 🛑 inciting the youth, Stop 🛑 promoting Chaos, Stop 🛑 forwarding messages and videos that are capable of causing crises.

May God Unite Nigeria "One love keep us together "
