DANGOTE VS FAROUK AND HIS CABAL...A POST MORTEM.....

The Dangote refinery was seen as a game changer for the Nigeria petroleum industry.... But instead of solving Nigeria petroleum industry problems.... It is creating more problems....

Few months ago PENGASSON virtually shut down all of Nigeria for days because of the refinery...

Dangote himself confessed that if he was aware of the well fortified cabal within the Nigeria petroleum industry he wouldn't have attempt building the refinery

But the question is...... Is Dangote refinery the problem or it's vested interest in the industry....

Dangote said he can produce enough Petrol for all Nigeria petrol users.... But NMDPRA said he can't

NMDPRA says Nigerians consume about 55million litres of Petrol daily...

But Dangote says it's a lie... Putting the figure at around 35million litres daily....

I align with Dangote... Nigerians can't be consuming more than 30 million litres daily....

Why should NMDPRA lie with such figure?....

It keeps them in the importation business....

Brazil with an economy that is over 4 times Nigeria economy, with more people having cars than Nigerians... Consume less than 40 million litres of Petrol daily....

Indonesia another richer country and more populous than Nigeria use less than 40 million litres of Petrol daily....

South Africa with more wealthier citizens and bigger economy than Nigeria uses about 20 million litres daily....

Most Nigerians have cut back petrol usage since subsidy removal..... So why is NMDPRA inflating fuel usage figures?....

NMDPRA want Nigerians to believe Dangote can't produce enough Petrol to go round so importation should be sustain...

Last year these importers where still collecting subsidy when fuel was selling at over N1000...
Now they suddenly have the financial war chest to import petrol and sell below N800 without subsidy..

No country on Earth sell petrol below N800 without subsidy.... So where are Nigeria importers bringing this cheap petrol from?...

Excerpt they are substandard...

In an industry war between Dangote and other govt player... It is easy to pick holes in the govt players submission because they have not shown any sign of making Nigerians enjoy the fruit of their crude oil...

When Dangote bought the govt refineries..... these govt players, Labor unions and co virtually chased Dangote out of those refineries...

After 24 years Obasanjo, Jonathan and Buhari ended up spending over $10billion to repair the refineries... But none of them worked...

Yet the Dangote they chased out built his refinery from scratch and completed a $22billion refinery in record time...

If not for Dangote... Nigeria govt couldn't have built one refinery in a lifetime.... It's a national shame... Because the unions and govt players like NMDPRA never wanted a refinery in Nigeria...

This importers must tell Nigerians where they are getting this cheap petrol from.... Nigeria car owners deserve to know...

At current level of Dangote refinery production... It produces more Petrol than Nigeria can consume..

Govt through NNPCL should buy the excesses and store in strategic reserve...

But marketers would sabotage the effort to justify the importation of substandard fuel...

I believe Dangote need every support at this stage of our national life.... The oil Cabals are not happy with an energy independent Nigeria...

US, UK Reject Nigeria's Bid to Label IPOB as Terrorists

Protesters in southeastern Nigeria demands an independent state known as Biafra.

The United Kingdom and the United States have formally declined requests from the Federal Government of Nigeria to designate the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) as an international terrorist organisation.

This decision, confirmed by several high-level diplomatic sources, represents a major setback for Nigerian authorities who have long sought international support to justify classifying this separatist group.

The Nigerian government, under President Muhammadu Buhari, added IPOB to its list of terrorist organizations in 2017, following increased agitation in favor of creating an independent Biafran state in the southeast of the country. The group, led by Nnamdi Kanu, who is currently detained, denies any involvement in acts of terrorism and maintains that its struggle for self-determination is peaceful, although it is accused of being linked to some armed violence in the region.

Since being designated a terrorist organization, Nigerian security forces have waged a protracted and often violent crackdown on members of IPOB and its armed vigilante wing, the Eastern Security Network (ESN). This conflict has resulted in numerous casualties and widespread allegations of human rights abuses.

The Nigerian government has repeatedly pressured its key Western allies, including the United States and the United Kingdom, to support its national designation, arguing that such a move would cripple the international funding and moral support the group receives abroad.

According to sources within the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) and the US State Department, these requests were carefully considered but ultimately rejected.

A spokesperson for the British government said, “The UK takes a rigorous, evidence-based approach to designating organizations as terrorist.” While we recognize the complexity of the security challenges in southeastern Nigeria, our current assessment is that IPOB does not meet the legal criteria to be banned under UK law. We encourage all parties to pursue peaceful and inclusive dialogue to resolve the underlying grievances.

A US State Department official echoed this view; “Our designation of foreign terrorist organizations is a powerful tool based on specific criteria. In Nigeria, our priority remains supporting comprehensive approaches that address security, governance, and economic issues, while ensuring the human rights of all citizens.”

Political analyst, Paul Bala told Gazette Africa that the decision as indicative of a broader Western perspective that categorizes the situation in southeastern Nigeria as a complex mix of separatist unrest, crime, and state-sponsored violence, rather than a clearly defined terrorist campaign meeting international definitions.

Google is reportedly planning a significant reorganization of its ad sales team, which could potentially result in the layoff of a large number of employees. Sean Downey, head of ad sales for major accounts in the U.S., mentioned the reorganization but didn’t specify any job cuts. This move appears to be influenced by Google’s increasing focus on AI advancements, as seen in projects like Gemini and Google Bard.

The restructuring is expected to heavily impact the ad sales division, as Google has been integrating AI to enhance operational efficiency. Earlier in May, Google announced AI-powered ads capable of creating campaign elements by scanning websites and generating keywords, headlines, and other assets, indicating a shift towards automation in ad operations.
