I Can Arrange An Argentine Visa For Any Opposition Politician Wishing To Relocate There
It's so funny that some opposition politicians are asking President Tinubu to learn from Argentina and President Milei. Why? Fitch has just rated Argentina under Milei a C rating. Please fact-check me. Meanwhile, last week, they rated Nigeria under Tinubu a Stable B rating.
Asking Nigeria to learn from Argentina is like asking a First-Class Accountant like Tinubu to learn from a Second-Lower Philosophy graduate like Peter Obi.
Who should be learning from whom? Argentina and Javier Milei should be studying President Bola TInubu and Nigeria.
Argentina has a $600 billion GDP but is weighed down by a total debt of $460 billion. Nigeria has a GDP of over $400 billion but owes a total debt of $94.2 billion.
Whereas Nigeria has an inflation rate of 24.48%, Argentina's rate of inflation is three times that, at 66.9%. Please fact-check me.
And in Nigeria, the private sector is thriving. Please fact-check me. When President Tinubu took office on May 29, 2023, Aliko Dangote had a net worth of $13.5 billion. After two years of Tinubu, Mr. Dangote's net worth is now more than double that at $27.8 billion.
The same or similar happened to Dr. Mike Adenuga Jr, Abdulsamad Rabiu, and Femi Otedola, who all saw their wealth grow by at least 25%.
Each of Nigeria's top five banks made record profits this last financial year.
For instance, Guaranty Trust Holding Company (GT Bank), Nigeria's largest bank by market share, made a profit of ₦1.1 trillion last financial year, up from ₦367.4 billion in 2023.
But in Argentina, both the public and private sectors are struggling to pay wages, and Milei just announced massive layoffs. The government cannot keep up with salary adjustments due to the astronomically high inflation rate.
When you consider our debt-to-GDP ratio and inflation rate, our economy is far better than Argentina's.
Nevertheless, if any opposition politician, such as Peter Obi, thinks otherwise, I can quickly and freely facilitate an immigrant visa for him so he can relocate to Argentina and enjoy President Javier Milei.
