NOW, LET’S TALK ABOUT PEOPLE.

One of the biggest lessons entrepreneurship will teach you has very little to do with money.

It has everything to do with people.

Yes, you need people.
Clients.
Mentors.
Employees.
Partners.
Supporters.

But here’s something you must understand early:
People are a part of your journey, but they do not define your destiny.
Many entrepreneurs start a business expecting their friends and family to become their biggest customers and loudest cheerleaders.
Sometimes they do.
Many times, they don’t.

And that’s okay.

Don’t take it personally.
Don’t become bitter.
Don’t let disappointment stop you from building.

The people closest to you are not under any obligation to become your biggest supporters. They may not fully understand your vision. They may not even see the value of what you’re building until much later.

That’s life.
Build anyway.

Some strangers will believe in your dream before the people who have known you all your life.

Some clients will become family.
Some family members will simply watch from a distance.

Both are okay.

Never build your business on the expectation of validation from people.

Build it on value.
Build it on excellence.
Build it on consistency.

The support you’re praying for may not come from the places you expect, and that’s perfectly fine.

Another thing…
As you grow, your circle will change.

Some friendships will naturally fade.
Some people will outgrow you.
Others may become uncomfortable with your progress.

You may experience jealousy, misunderstanding, criticism, or even betrayal.
Don’t let any of those things distract you.

Keep your heart clean.
Don’t spend your energy proving people wrong.

Spend it becoming better.
Remember, not everyone who leaves your life is against you, and not everyone who stays is for you.

Discernment is just as important as determination.

Protect your peace.
Protect your vision.
Protect your character.
At the end of the day, people will always have opinions.

Some will clap for you.
Some will criticize you.
Some will celebrate you only after everyone else has.

None of that should determine whether you keep going, Keep showing up,
Keep serving with excellence!

IN THE NEWS: The Lagos State Government has formalised community land allocations across Sangotedo and Ibeju-Lekki as part of plans to develop a 16,300-hectare master-planned urban community.

According to a statement issued by the Governor's Special Adviser on Media anc Publicity, Gboyega Akosile, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu presented land allocation letters to eaders of 98 beneficiary villages during a ceremony at the Ito Omu Link Bridge ir Sangotedo on Wednesday

The allocation letters formally recognise the peneficiary communities within the proposed development area and mark the commencement of the state's implementation of the master-planned project, which is expected to support housing delivery, infrastructure development and long-term urban growth

Gov Sanwo-Olu said the state qovernment is committed to ensuring that the growth of Ito Omu and neighbouring communities is driven by deliberate planning rather than unplanned urbar expansion.

The announcement was made by the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of FMBN Shehu Usman Osidi, during his goodwill message at the 2026 National Diaspora Day Celebration ir Abuja, according to a statement issued or Monday by the bank's Group Head of Corporate Communications, Joe Abuku.
