OUR VISION

PERFECTION REAL ESTATE GROUP came into existence based on some statistical report about Nigeria and the myriads of challenges in the Nigerian real estate sector.

For example as far back as over 10years ago statistics have established that less that 2% of Nigerians are investing in the real estate sector and going by the present day economic status of the average Nigerian, he is worse off much more than 10years ago which invariably means the 2% of over 10years ago must have significantly dropped.

Secondly, the United Nations Department for Economic and Social Affairs says in 2013 when Nigeria population was 171.8 million that by the year 2050 the Nigerian population will be over 450 million. As at the time of writing this article in February 2022 the Nigerian population is 216.7 million. What is the implication of this on the people of Nigeria and her real estate sector?

Thirdly, the World Bank reported over 10years ago that Nigeria has 17 million housing deficit and need 700,000 housing delivery annually.

These amongst many other challenges are what Nigeria and Nigerians are confronted with.

For your information, you may not have known this, the Nigerian real estate sector as at today remains one of the most lucrative in the world but the challenge is that the average Nigerian is not benefitting from this and that is due to the challenge of the economic power of the average Nigerian and the vast ignorance of the people of Nigeria. Invariably, only the few privileged Nigerians and foreign interest and cashing out big on the Nigerian real estate sector.

LAND AS A PRIME RESOURCE FOR WEALTH CREATION

Mr Chinedu was a professional driver attached to professor Akeju of the department of linguistics and literary studies at the University of Lagos. He learned very early in life from his father the importance of investing in real estate via land banking!

Even though he was placed on the basic minimum salary as a federal worker when he started then, he however committed himself to investing 40% of his basic salary into land banking .

This he did religiously for many years while he continues to live in a one - bedroom apartment with his wife and two children at the outskirt of Lagos!

On the other hand, his boss was living in one of the apartments in UNILAG staff quarters!

After 35 years of meritorious service in UNILAG, Professor Akeju was retired and he had no where else to go!

In the past, all the advice from friends and families to invest in landed properties fell on deaf ears!

His complains then had been :

"it is too far!"

"it is waterlogged"

"it is a forest", etc.

His desire then was to buy landed properties only in the high -brow areas of Lagos which were way beyond his earnings as a professor!

After retirement when he had no other option than to leave the staff quarters, he had to inform an agent to get him a bungalow for rent in Magodo.

When asked to meet with the Landlord of the house he wanted to rent, he was surprised to find out that his former driver was the owner of the house!

His former driver had invested in a 650sqm of land at Magodo back the when it was going for less than 1million naira and 13years later he sold same land for N35million naira and bought several other lands in different locations. Within a few years after Mr. Chinedu started getting several offers for his lands in different locations. He sold some and reserved some to build apartments and bungalows and still bought more lands as his culture is.

Within a space of 20years Mr. Chinedu has amassed for himself several properties in land and several buildings and so it was one of his several buildings that his former boss wanted to rent.

The retired professor had no choice than to start paying his rent to his former driver because the house met his taste and what he was looking for in a house!

The single most important decision that turned the entire fortune of a common driver like Mr. Chinedu around was to buy just one plot of land in a location he never even dreamt could be worth anything. He just collected cooperative money and decided to just invest and that was the beginning of his fortune.
