THE NUCLEAR BOMB,THE LAST LINE OF DEFENCE
The size of the Atomic bomb used in Hiroshima and Nagasaki,Japan during the WWII in 1945, was 15 Kilotons, TNT, while the size of the Hydrogen Bomb or H-Bomb, as it is popularly called, tested by the North Koreans in September 3, 2017 was over 100 Kilotons, TNT.
By implication, this is a six and half times larger than the Nuclear weapon used in those two(2) Japanese Cities during the WWII.
Under nuclear weapons classification both bombs fall under the Tactical nuclear weapons since, it's yields is not more than 100 Kilotons but nuclear bombs with yields above 100 Kilotons,TNT, are classified as a strategic nuclear weapon.
On a whole, the distinction between a tactical nuclear weapon, and a strategic nuclear weapon, is in the number of variable yields because, tactical nuclear weapons depending on how numerously deployed, and the capacity of the vehicle and batteries used to deploy them towards their target could still be considered as strategic nuclear weapons due to their effective, destructive power such as the high velocity heat and shock waves, coupled with its very high radiative power.
A tactical nuclear weapon deployed on a shot range ICBM or a long range ICBM could still serve it's purpose depending on the objective of its deployment.
