Few Things The Last Half Decade Taught Me…
I’m Officially at the Auntie age where we give advice. Solicited or not Lol
For a long time, I thought the goal was simply to arrive.
Married by 30.
Successful by a certain age.
Everything figured out.
I was so focused on becoming the woman I thought life required me to be that I almost lost sight of the woman God had actually destined me to become.
Some of my hardest battles happened in between the applause.
There were things I had to unlearn.
People I had to release.
Expectations I had to surrender.
And, perhaps hardest of all, a version of myself I had to let go of.
So this season looks different.
Less proving.
Less performing.
Less needing to be understood.
More becoming.
Brick by brick, I’m rebuilding.
And I’m finally learning that the life God has for you may require you to stop chasing the life you thought you wanted.
I’m so excited for what’s to come in this new year.
I thank you all for the birthday wishes and prayers . May God bless each one of you. 🙏🏾
If you’re in a rebuilding season, I hope this reminds you that starting again isn’t starting from scratch. This time, you’re starting with experience.
