MY STAND FOR ONE NIGERIA, A BETTER DELTA STATE, AND TRUE REPRESENTATION

My beloved people of Delta State, especially the good people of Ughelli North, Ughelli South, and Udu Federal Constituency, today I speak not out of hatred, not out of bitterness, but out of deep concern for our future, our children, and the development of our land.

This is a time for truth. This is a time for courage. This is a time for our people to wake up and understand that politics is not about party alone, but about performance, accountability, and service to humanity.

Nigeria can become better.
Delta State can become greater.
But it will only happen when we stop voting blindly and start voting wisely.

For too many years, many politicians have used the people during election periods and abandoned them immediately after winning power. They come with promises, they speak big grammar, they share money during campaigns, and after elections they disappear from the lives of the ordinary people.

Today, our roads are still bad.
Many of our youths remain unemployed.
Communities lack clean water, electricity, quality schools, and healthcare facilities.
Our widows and elderly people continue to suffer.
Yet huge amounts of government allocations enter the state and local governments every month.

The painful truth is that many representatives are not speaking for the people anymore. Many are only occupying offices without meaningful impact. Some have turned leadership into personal business instead of public service.

However, in the midst of all these challenges, I must sincerely acknowledge one man whose efforts are visible in Delta State today — His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, the Executive Governor of Delta State.

Whether people like it or not, the Governor is working. We can all see ongoing projects, road constructions, development efforts, and attempts to move the state forward. Leadership is about results, and every honest citizen must speak the truth where necessary.

But sadly, many other elected officials have failed to carry the people along.

Since 2023 till this present moment, our Senator, Senator Ede Dafinone, has not done enough to justify the confidence and mandate given to him by the people. The masses are asking questions. The people want to see empowerment, development, visible constituency projects, youth support programs, educational assistance, and community engagement.

The same disappointment extends to the House of Representatives member representing Ughelli North, Ughelli South, and Udu Federal Constituency, Hon. Rev. Francis Ejiroghene Waive. Leadership should not only exist on television screens or during campaign rallies. Leadership must be felt in the lives of the ordinary people.

What are the visible impacts?
Where are the opportunities for the youths?
Where are the benefits to the communities?

The people are tired of promises without performance.

As for the situation in Ughelli North Local Government, it is becoming increasingly painful and unacceptable. The people deserve transparency and accountability. Funds belonging to the people must be used for the development of the people, not for selfish interests or political collaborations among a few individuals.

It is heartbreaking that while huge allocations enter the local government, many communities still lack basic amenities. Some leaders and councillors have allegedly turned governance into private business while the ordinary citizens continue to suffer daily.

Our people must no longer remain silent.
We must no longer act blind.
We must no longer allow intimidation or political manipulation to destroy our future.

This is the time for our eyes to open.

We must begin to ask questions.
We must demand accountability.
We must support leaders who genuinely work for the people and reject leaders who only remember the people during elections.

Politics should never be about tribe, party, religion, or money. Politics should be about results, development, honesty, and service.

I call on every son and daughter of Delta State to rise and stand for what is right. Let us defend our communities. Let us defend our future. Let us defend democracy through truth and unity.

To my beloved community people, this is the time to wake up and stand for your rights peacefully and lawfully. We deserve to benefit from the resources of our state and local government. Government funds belong to the people and must work for the people.

No community should continue to suffer while leaders live in luxury.
No youth should remain hopeless while public funds are being shared among a few individuals.

I also want to send a clear message to the leadership of Ughelli North Local Government. The people are watching. Leadership is a responsibility, not an opportunity for selfish enrichment. If the chairman truly loves the people, then this is the time to change direction, listen to the cries of the masses, and deliver what belongs to the communities.

Enough of neglect.
Enough of selfish politics.
Enough of empty leadership.

If nothing changes and if the people continue to be denied what rightfully belongs to them, then lawful actions and petitions to appropriate anti-corruption agencies, including the EFCC, may become necessary because democracy demands accountability.

However, let it be clear that our struggle must remain peaceful, lawful, and focused on justice, development, and truth.

We are not enemies of government.
We are citizens demanding good governance.

I still believe in One Nigeria.
I still believe Delta State can become one of the greatest states in Nigeria.
I still believe the future can be better for our children.

But change will only come when good people speak up and refuse to remain silent.

This is our time.
This is our moment.
Let us stand together for truth, justice, accountability, and development.

May God bless Delta State.
May God bless the good people of Ughelli North, Ughelli South, and Udu.
And may God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Today, I proudly share this publication as a voice for the ordinary people of Ughelli North Constituency 1 and Delta State at large. This is more than just a newspaper page — it is a reflection of the pain, frustration, and hope of our people who desire true development, accountability, and responsible leadership.
For too long, many communities have continued to suffer from bad roads, poor drainage systems, lack of quality healthcare, unemployment, and neglect, despite the huge resources meant for development. The time has come for the people to speak with one voice and demand better governance that truly serves the masses.
This publication is not written out of hatred or personal interest, but out of love for our communities and concern for the future of our youths and coming generations. Democracy should bring progress, transparency, empowerment, and visible development to every ward and community.
As 2027 approaches, let every son and daughter of Ughelli North remain wise, united, and focused on competence, credibility, and accountability. Our future must not be traded for empty promises or political deception.
Ughelli North must rise again. Delta State deserves better.

Happy Sunday, my good people 🙏

As we step into this beautiful day of rest, I pray that God blesses every sincere heart out there. May your efforts bring results, your struggles turn into testimonies, and your homes be filled with peace and joy.

To everyone genuinely wishing others well, supporting growth, and celebrating the success of others — may your own blessings never run dry. Your kindness will speak for you where your voice cannot reach.

And to those who feel uneasy about another person’s progress… life is too short for envy. What God has for one person does not reduce what is available for you. Learn to support, learn to grow, and your time will surely come.

Let love lead, let progress spread, and let us all rise together.

Have a blessed and peaceful Sunday 🙌✨
