Having an ‘employee mindset’ is one of the easiest way to kill procrastination in your business and life!
I know you are the CEO of that 1 man show or small biz, with no one to query you if you procrastinate and not deliver on time - which is hurting your business.
Ask yourself - what if you were working in Apple or Microsoft (on a multiple 6 fig $$$ salary with all the perks) with a boss standing by for you to complete this task?
What if you had a meeting with your boss tomorrow morning by 8am to present the deliverables?
Will you still procrastinate on this task?
Will you over think it?
Will you aim for perfection or get that s**t done?
Remember ‘done is better than perfect’.... perfection is a subjective illusion that does not exist.
I’m not encouraging delivering mediocre work. With an ‘employee mindset’, you will also expect to be fired or queried if you deliver mediocre work.
Consistent average is better than occasional excellence and inaction powered by overthinking.
You must realize that perfection is a journey rather than a destination.
‘You don’t have to be great to get started, but you have to get started to be great!’.
