In April this year 2025, specifically around April 6&7, the crypto market suffered a sudden crash.

On the night of April 6&7, 2025, across major exchanges, many leveraged positions were liquidated, around 280,000 traders had long positions automatically closed in that 24 hour window.

In that short period, the price of major coins fell sharply for example, Bitcoin (BTC) lost key support around US $80,000 and slid to roughly US $78,000 in one night.

Reports say more than US $1 billion in liquidations occurred over that weekend.

In plain terms, some people holding big positions, mainly with borrowed money woke up to find their investment wiped out or greatly reduced within hours. The market moved so fast that many couldn’t react in time.

Here’s the lesson: When you invest in something that can drop tens of % in hours, your safe money isn’t so safe. The crypto crash above shows how fragile that environment can be.

That is why I believe that investing into real estate is among the most secure ways to build long term wealth. Unlike crypto:
