EASY STEPS TO ARRANGE A SMALL KITCHEN
At the end of the day, economic power and availability will be huge deciding factors. So assess costs of the both options and decide which will work best for you.

For some reasons, houses built for the middle class may not have your dream kitchen designed in the plan. But we still need to make those mouth-watering dishes and we need to do it in convenience.
So here are our ideas on how to make the most of a small kitchen space;

 Light is everything- Light can make a little room feel welcoming and open. You can add natural light by replacing your back door with a glass door. Or if this is not an option, installing overhead lights. Also pick bright colors to paint your kitchen. Colors such as bright green and yellows brings liveliness.
 Choose your appliances wisely- Appliances can take up space. So you want to pick the essentials first. Choose a slim fridge instead of a full-sized one. Leave out items you don’t regularly use, like bulky blenders. Make use of wall space for hanging utensils as opposed to keeping them in a cupboard.

HOUSE PRICES TOO HIGH? HOW ABOUT CO-OWNING?

After reading this post, you would have discovered another chance at realizing your dream of owning a home even if the prices are higher than your current budget.

In 2022, we have seen the rise of the concept of co-owning. It is simply where two or more people buy a house together. It implies that they will both have their names on the title.

There are two options to co-ownership;
1.Tenancy in Common: Here, shares of the property are not divided equally but according to how much money each owner has invested in the property. Each person has equal rights to all areas of the property. If an owner wants to sell their share of the property, they must get consent from the other co-owners.
2.Joint Tenancy: In this option, each person has equal ownership of the home, regardless of how much invested. An owner does not need consent to sell off his share. The catch is that in event of death of an owner, his share does not go to any beneficiary but rather the surviving owners possess it and again share it equally among themselves.

36 states boasting of many promising sites to make your dream home; wisdom is key in determining where exactly to settle down.

1. Up-and Coming areas: It is certainly appealing to want to buy a house in Asokoro or in Banana Island. But is that feasible with prices of houses there going as high as 2 million dollars? A good way to find a place that won’t break the bank is to aim for little known areas where development is just reaching. Good examples of such places are Ibeju-lekki in Lagos state.

2. Proximity to Commercial Activity: Apart from making life easier because buying and selling will not require taking long trips, having a house close to markets or industries will mean an influx of people trooping nearby. This will be helpful in boosting the value of the property and rent.

3. Security: What does the neigbour hood look like? Is it prone to robberies? Are the surrondings porous? These are questions that must be asked and answered before choosing site for a house.

WHAT THE LAW SAYS ABOUT EVICTING TENANTS

Gone are the days where a landlord was a lord in every sense and could show up at your door in the morning, tell you to ‘pack out’ and be back by evening to throw your belongings out the lawn.
The Nigerian law solves that madness but stipulating procedures on how to evict someone. So know your rights.

One; the grounds on which a tenant can be evicted include; when they have breached their responsibilites, when the landlord requires the property for personal or family use, when the landlord wants to sell the property, when the use of the property is changing.

And even then, the law stipulates that the yearly tenant be granted a notice to quit 6 months in advance. And if the tenant wears out the patience of the landlord, his next course of action is to take the matter to court.

The tenant also has the right to sue his landlord if he doesn’t follow due process.
