THEORY OF EFFECTIVE FRIENDSHIP & ITS IMPACT IN AN ASSOCIATION.
Friendship as the term sounds is a relationship of mutual affection between people, characterized by feeling of trust, honesty and respect.
Important terms deduced from FRIENDSHIP are;
1. Mutual - Very closely related with one another.
2. Affection - Love one another.
3. Trust - Believe, have confidence in one another.
4. Honesty - Be sincere, truthful and protect one another.
5. Respect - Show regard, decorum and genuiness to one another.
The 5 characteristics demonstrated herein, are the foundational requirements for friendship.
And when all those fails to come into play, you see the followings;
1. Betrayal - Disappointment when needed most.
2. Moul or stabbing in the back - Destroying a friend behind and still pretends to be in a relationship. Talk against each other more behind than personally.
3. Trivial complaints - Beginning to make a mountain out of ant hill.
4. Fault finding - Beginning to be delusional by way of seeing something to be wrong even though it is evidently clear that it is right, because selfish, mischievous aim was yet to be achieved.
5. Abstainance - Beginning to avoid and show separatism from the friendship or association.
6. Destructive criticism - Beginning to conceive and talk how to kill the friendship or the association, instead of thinking of growth and progress.
7. Propagate self and violent philosophies - Beginning to introduce anti believe, moto, slogan and principle that has the tendency to frustrate the aims and objectives of the friendship or association.
8. Show absenteeism and recalstrancy - Beginning to stay away from meetings and gatherings of friends. Oppose every rules and act of leadership in order to ruine and run the friendship or association down.
9. Deviation - Beginning to move away from certain statutory and conventional ethics. Eg discuss official subjects with non member(s) in the both private and public domain.
10. Become confrontational; Beginning to pride over face to face attack on issues that does not really matter, to the negative observation of non members or onlookers.
11. Contemplate resignation and dis-membership.
It is always advisable for one to nurture and maintain existing relationship as it is also not easy to commence a new one.
It is sometimes very difficult for those who can not relate while in one association to relate well when one leaves the said association.
Every association as a matter of fact should have members that are both friends within and outside the association, if association must progress and thrive gainfully.
Friendship both inside association and outside must be respected by one another, regardless of individual background.
