Abia Government Awards Contracts For Construction Of Five Major Roads

“The State Government has awarded contracts for the construction of five major roads across the state. On Friday, 24th October, two of these roads — the 25km Umuahia–Ikot Ekpene Road and the 13.1km Ariam–Usaka Ring Road in Ikwuano LGA — will be officially flagged off. Others include the 9.35km Ihechiowa–Arochukwu Ring Road, the 4.9km Isieketa–Mba Itungwa–Mgbedeala Road in Isiala Ngwa South, and the 3.72km Ogidi–Umuala Eziama Ntigha Road in Isiala Ngwa North. These projects are part of the ongoing infrastructural revolution designed to open up rural communities for business and economic expansion” —Chief Prince Okey Kanu, Honourable Commissioner for Information, Abia State.
