ACCESS | Session 01: From MVP to exit – what the room revealed about the decisions that shape tomorrow’s options.
The session showed that knowledge about growth, investment and exits does not only become relevant once a sale is on the horizon.
At The Extra Mile, entrepreneurs at different stages came together, from a founder building an MVP and first pilot to post-revenue entrepreneurs and founders thinking about scaling, investment or a future exit.
Mattias Scheek shared the story behind Mayht Technologies and its acquisition by Sonos. Niels Dolk van Doorn of Osborne Clarke - Netherlands translated that journey into practical topics such as intellectual property, corporate hygiene, shareholder terms, due diligence, and protecting your team and culture.
The questions from the room made clear why ACCESS matters. Good decisions early on can make a significant difference years later.
One participant in the MVP stage captured it clearly afterwards: before the session, the participant wondered whether the topic might have come too early. Afterwards, the value of having this knowledge at an early stage became clear.
With ACCESS, we make experience, expertise and relevant networks accessible to a broad group of entrepreneurs. The first edition was a strong start, and the positive feedback gives us every reason to keep building.
Thank you to Mattias Scheek, Niels Dolk van Doorn, Osborne Clarke, H.E. Ricardo Panka - Ambassador of the Republic of Suriname to the Netherlands and his delegation, our guests, and everyone who contributed behind the scenes.
And thank you to Sandra Esseboom of The Bridge, whose work as a strategic connector facilitated bringing The Extra Mile and the Embassy of Suriname together.
