Stats on real estate listings inventory in Florida

What's the inventory story? 🏠 New Listings is a “leading indicator”, meaning we expect future trends to follow what we observe today. Active Inventory is any property that is actively on the market at the end of the reporting period. New Listings tend to indicate the direction of Active Inventory, particularly if demand doesn’t quite match the number of homes put onto the market. As we noted last month, New Listings rose, and accordingly Active Inventory has subsequently begun to rise. The takeaway – prospective homebuyers may have more existing homes to choose from as demand is still relatively cool thanks to high prices and interest rates. Things may change as the spring buying season heats up, so stay tuned!
