We worked with Mickey as our aankoopmakelaar and couldn't be happier. Mickey is a true professional and really passionate about her work. She can "read" apartments and houses, and immediately knows what their strengths and problems are, as well as the pitfalls to avoid in Rotterdam (such as: erfpacht, weak VVEs, rotten foundations) and how to spot them.
She shares her knowledge in such a way that you become more real estate literate in a short time and are able to critically read published offers. The internet platform she shares with her client, Copaan, is faster, with earlier listings - than others. It was clear to us from the start what an excellent reputation Mickey has in Rotterdam. On two occasions, when we called real estate agents to arrange a viewing and were told that all viewings were booked, mentioning her name suddenly opened doors that were already closed.
Mickey knows Rotterdam inside and out, has a genuine passion for architecture and could be a local architectural guide. Through her, we learned that it was easier than we thought to find an apartment that was affordable for us and built to the highest standards. At the beginning of our search, we had expected to move to a suburb or small town outside Rotterdam, which turned out to be unnecessary. In just a few weeks we learned what to look for and are completely happy with what we found and where we live now.
The money we paid for Mickey's services was more than a good investment - and one that paid for itself immediately because she secured us our apartment without overbidding and with a direct and legally binding agreement from the seller on the day we decided to bid on it. She literally made one phone call and we got the apartment.
Of course, we don't know all the aankoopmakelaars in Rotterdam, but we have no doubt that Mickey is the best - who could beat her?
