Sushi first, mic drop later. Share the sushi boat with your friends and go for the Harakiri roll if you like a bit of heat. Once you’re done, it’s karaoke time.

📍NOYA (karel doormanstraat 278e)

Order the sushi tower, then let the rest of the table fill up with torched scallop truffle sushi and gyu rolls. Noya does halal Japanese fusion like it’s fine dining, plated to be photographed, made to be shared.

📍OTSU (Cor Kieboomplein 481)

Otsu’s spicy maguro isn’t your typical roll. The tuna gets its kick from sucuk instead of sriracha, a small detail that says everything about this place: Japanese sushi bar meets Mediterranean grill lounge, built for a table full of shared plates.

📍AQUA ASIA (holland amerikakade 106)

This is sushi with a view. Order the Rainbow Roll, tuna, salmon, sea bass and avocado topped with tobiko, and grab a seat right by the window as the Erasmusbrug lights up outside. Fine dining, waterfront, and sushi that’s possibly the best in town.

📍DONZO (vijf werelddelen 83)

This is sushi with an edge, inside and out. The Truffle Ribeye Roll brings ribeye, asparagus and truffle mayo together, while the space around you leans full samurai, black walls, red accents, Bushido written above the bar. Not your average sushi spot.

World Port Days celebrates its 49th edition in Rotterdam this September 4 to 6 🚢

Three days, quays around the Erasmusbrug as the heart of it all, with excursions and boat tours reaching across the whole harbour. Ship visits, shows on the water, and this year, a few brand new ones too.

Saturday night closes with fireworks over the Maas, lighting up the entire skyline.

Want to see it all from the water? Choose from a range of boat tours, from a cruise aboard the tall sailing ship Eendracht to a historic ride on the steam tugs, or an evening sail during the Saturday night show.

With so much going on, head to Wereldhavendagen Rotterdam to explore the full programme and pick out what speaks to you most.
