Feel Good Friday 💛

Not every conversation needs an immediate result to have value.

Sometimes we get so focused on outcomes that we forget the value in simply giving someone our time.

A conversation.
Answering a few questions.
Sharing some knowledge.
Listening without rushing to offer a solution.

We may never know what comes from those little moments and perhaps nothing needs to.

Sometimes leaving someone feeling a little more confident, a little less worried, or simply "heard" is result enough.

It’s a nice reminder for me that not everything worthwhile needs an instant outcome or something in return.

So this Friday, perhaps take the time for the conversation. Have the coffee. Answer the question. Listen a little longer.

You never quite know the difference a little bit of your time might make.

🐾 PAW PATROL WEDNESDAY

Appraisal Assistants on Duty

Brenda has been rather busy out and about appraising properties around Alexandra this week, so naturally her two *highly qualified* Paw Patrol colleagues insisted their professional expertise was required. 🏡🐾

Millie took the assignment very seriously.

Property inspected ✔️
Presentation noted ✔️
Attention to detail ✔️
Brenda's work carefully supervised ✔️

Jack also started strongly…

Letterbox located ✔️
P*e mail thoroughly investigated ✔️
Perimeter sniff completed ✔️

And then…

**NEW NEIGHBOURS DETECTED.** 🚨

Apparently the Gypsy Cob family next door had moved a little closer to the boundary.

Appraisal? ...Forgotten!
Security vest? ...ON!

Jack immediately commenced a full investigation of these rather LARGE four-legged neighbours while Millie quietly carried on with the actual job. 🙄😂

Brenda maintains she can complete an appraisal perfectly well without Paw Patrol assistance.

Paw Patrol strongly disagrees.

🏡 MARKET MONDAY | What’s My Place Worth?

Not because you’re necessarily thinking of selling.

Sometimes… you’re just curious. 👀

You’ve watched the house down the road sell. You’ve seen another one pop up online and thought "Crikey, are they really asking THAT?”

You’ve renovated the kitchen, built the shed, landscaped the garden and quietly wondered what difference it’s all made. And that’s perfectly okay.

A property appraisal doesn’t have to mean a For Sale sign is going up next week.

Sometimes it’s simply about knowing where you stand and understanding what’s happening in your little corner of Alexandra. And because every property is different, there’s no computer algorithm quite like actually walking through the front door, having a look around and doing the homework.

Feel Good Friday 💛

It’s about people.

After more than a decade in real estate, there’s one thing I’ve become absolutely certain about…

Real estate isn’t really about houses. It’s about people.

Every property has a story behind it, and every person has a different reason for considering a move.

Sometimes it’s exciting - a first home, a growing family or the beginning of a new adventure.

Sometimes it’s simply time for a change.

And sometimes life makes the decision for us, and moving can feel much bigger and more emotional than we expected.

It’s probably why I’ve learnt that before I start talking about property, price or marketing, I need to listen.

What are you hoping to achieve?
What matters to you?
And how can I make the journey ahead a little easier?

Because ultimately, it isn’t my journey.

It’s yours.

My job is simply to give you the knowledge, guidance and confidence to make the decisions that are right for you.

And perhaps that’s my Feel Good Friday thought this week — whether it’s in real estate or life:

People first. Listen before leading. And never underestimate how much it means to simply feel heard.

🐾 PAW PATROL WEDNESDAY

The September Delivery Run

The new Alexandra Property Report – September edition has arrived, which means the Paw Patrol delivery team is back on duty! 📰🐾

Before leaving HQ, Millie called a quick staff meeting.

Apparently, when representing Brenda in public, Jack needs to “calm down and behave a little more professionally.”

Jack respectfully disagrees.

As far as he’s concerned, his job description is quite clear:

🐾 Check all available p*e mail
🏡 Sniff out any new property opportunities
👀 Keep an eye on neighbourhood activity
📣 And provide vocal assistance whenever HE deems necessary

Millie has reminded him that barking at every two-legged and four-legged resident of Alexandra is not technically part of the delivery service.

Jack says he’ll take that under advisement. 😂

🏡 MARKET MONDAY | Hello Spring!

There’s something about the arrival of spring that seems to put a little more energy into everything. 🌸

The days are getting longer, gardens around Alexandra are starting to wake up, and there’s that feeling that we’re finally coming out the other side of winter.

And real estate feels a little like that too.

More conversations are happening, buyers are out looking, and homeowners are starting to think about what their next move might look like.

For me, that’s the lovely thing about spring — it brings a sense of possibility.

A new season.
Fresh plans.
And perhaps even a new front door. 🏡❤️

Whatever this spring has in store, I’m looking forward to seeing it unfold here in Alexandra.

"The Ripple Effect..."

This week has reminded me that not everything worthwhile makes a big noise.

Sometimes it's a little moment with family that becomes the highlight of your week.

Sometimes it's a phone call that reminds you the small things you've been consistently doing are actually making a difference.

And sometimes it's one property sale that quietly enables another... and another... and another family to move forward. 🏡

We don't always get to see the impact of the things we do straight away.

A conversation. A kindness. A helping hand. A little encouragement. Simply taking the time to do something well.

They can all travel much further than we realise.

So my Feel Good Friday thought this week is...

Never underestimate the ripple effect of doing one small thing well.

Keep showing up.
Keep being kind.
Keep planting the seeds.

You never quite know where the ripples might end up.

🐾 PAW PATROL WEDNESDAY

Operation: Mouse Relocation 🐭

We currently have a bit of a tenancy issue at Paw Patrol HQ.

A small furry gentleman has taken up residence in the woodbox outside the French doors. No application. No references. No bond. And definitely no permission from the property owner. 😂

Naturally, Jack and Millie have appointed themselves to the relocation team.

There have been hours of surveillance…
Noses pressed firmly against the glass…
And several emergency call-outs when Mr Mouse makes a lightning-fast dash along the deck. 🐭💨

Jack responds with the full SECURITY BREACH! SECURITY BREACH! alarm system, while Millie, normally our sensible one, has decided this particular case warrants her complete attention too.

Unfortunately, Mr Mouse appears to be considerably smarter than the entire Paw Patrol team and has so far declined all offers of assistance with his relocation. 😂

Current status:

Investigations continue…
